I am currently live in Sydney, Australia and can provide the following at Freedom Clinical Psychology. Please get in contact if you would like to come for therapy.
Individual therapy
I am registered as a clinical psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; UK) and I’m able to provide individual therapy upon request. I have experience working in mental health services including early detection and intervention, inpatient and outpatient services. I have also worked within forensic, paediatric, palliative care, oncology and neuropsychology services.
I have adopted an approach which enables me to be creative, flexible and reflective in my work. I believe that people don’t fit into boxes and in order to support someone in a way that is useful, it is important to integrate different ideas and ways of understanding their experiences. I am familiar with models of therapy that include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy and Existential Psychotherapy.
Open Dialogue and systemic practice
I am able to work with couples, families and networks of people who are experiencing distress. I have experience working with approaches from Systemic Family Therapy and Open Dialogue. I also incorporate ideas from individual psychotherapy which are described above, when appropriate. Please submit a request if this is something that you would like more information about.
